FireOak is a small team of curious people who enjoy solving complicated organizational problems, asking thoughtful questions, and helping clients make sense of technology. We believe good consulting starts with listening, not talking.
Some of us came from libraries. Some from technology. All of us enjoy understanding how systems work, asking thoughtful questions, and helping organizations solve complicated problems.
One thing that makes FireOak a little different: everyone on our team either holds a Master's degree in Library & Information Science or spent years working in libraries or information-intensive organizations. That background influences how we think about technology, governance, AI, and knowledge.
Long before AI made information architecture trendy, we already loved organizing information.
We're not the loudest people in the room. We're usually the ones taking notes, connecting ideas, and quietly building something better.
Curiosity is part of our job—but it's also part of who we are.

Strategic advisor, knowledge management consultant, and Fractional CIO.
Abby enjoys helping leadership teams untangle complicated technology decisions and build stronger organizational foundations. She's especially interested in AI governance, information architecture, and why the best technology strategies usually begin with better questions.

Mimi Krystel
Project Manager
Mimi keeps projects moving, people informed, and details from falling through the cracks. Mimi primarily works with members of the internal FireOak team to support various internal and administrative projects. She holds an MLIS from the University of South Florida.
Kelly Knight
Knowledge Management Consultant
Kelly has spent decades helping organizations surface institutional knowledge, improve collaboration, and make complex information easier to find, understand, and share. He has a knack for seeing patterns that other people overlook. He has over 30 years of experience in human resources, communications, and information management and holds an MLIS.
🐾 Maisey the Dog
Director of Office Morale
Maisey Maisey joined FireOak after being rescued in 2020 and has been supervising meetings ever since. Maisey has strong opinions about lunchtime, enthusiastically welcomes anyone who visits the office, and firmly believes tennis balls are beneath her. Her younger rescue sister, Nelly, respectfully disagrees. More than one prospective client has noticed Maisey on our website and decided we seemed like "their kind of people." We're okay with that.
